Unfortunately ... not yet.
It's too expansive for my poor purse :)
I'm waiting for a little drop. |

Any idea how the cd playback compares with dedicated cd players? |

I don't quite understand the question . You mean, music cd's difference? or the Bluray difference with normal dvd? |

Why would you want to buy a ps3 to play cd's on it?
It's got a 40Gb hard drive to store mp3's on and with it's wireless connectivity means you can stream music from your home PC. So a more relevant question is 'whats its mp3 playback quality like'
And also, if you're plugged into a TV with shitty speakers, then the audio playback will be shit?
I don't understand the question either! |

Hmmm, I dunno, I have all my music on my laptop which is hooked up to my hi-fi amp, but most of the time I still prefer to play the actual CDs through the CD player, It sounds better. My Playstation 2 is also hooked up to the Hifi but I don't use it much.

What i mean is , if i were to attach it to an amp is the sound quality good enough that it would replace the need for a cd player? Not interested in mp3 as its shite quality. |

Oh no! Gladly are you one of those dreaded audiophiles?! Concerned about the grade of gold plated copper in your speaker cables?! **makes the sign of the cross and brings out the garlic** |
