I gotta go with good ol' fashioned soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies. Or forget the cookies--just the dough is fine! |

This is my take:
In the US, a scone is a sweet biscuit, like a pastry.
A biscuit is unsweetened, made with baking powder and usually buttermilk or just regular milk; generally eaten with a full breakfast (eggs, bacon and a biscuit) or a hearty "down home" meal, like fried chicken.
A cookie is a sweet dessert.
So, is a UK scone sweetened or not? Is it more like what is in the picture Goosey put up, like our baking powder biscuit? |

Ummm apple and cinnamon scones are my fav! They can be sweet or savoury but prefer them sweet with strawberry jam and cream!!! lol
Bucuits are sweet and always better with a bit of chocolate ha ha |
