I think there shouldn't be any hidden songs for this album IMO. On the last one, everyone knew what they were even before they heard them. Prolly the only one that really worked was BFL obviously cos it had a different tone. Wot do you lot say?

Totally agree with you. They're silly these days. I hope they don't include one. Dougie says so far they've only recorded the main 11 but he could be keeping one secret to at least give us a surprise on its release... But I hope not. I like the album as it is.

Aw, I quite like hidden tracks. It's kind of like a little surprise to look forward to!

I'll be happy with anything they do with the new record.

I'm not a huge fan of hidden tracks. I kinda imagine that this next album is gonna be short and snappy, so I don't think one would fit well with the overall pace anyway.

That's the exact point I made a while back, another point too that if the band want to release quicker albums, they could save any song they might use for album 7.

CD/DVD sounds like a brilliant idea.

I don't mind hidden tracks. I'm a huge fan of the three that Travis have put out so far and I have to disagree that "BFL" is the only one that's worked. I think "Some Sad Song" is the perfect hidden song for 12 Memories. "Sailing Away" could have been an album track though, in my opinion.

I'm so excited about "Ode to J. Smith" that I'm not all that worried about whether there's a hidden track on not. I'll be happy with 11 brilliant album tracks. I wouldn't count it out yet, though...don't forget what Dougie said in his diaries:

"The album will be 11 songs long. there are no extra tracks recorded YET."

"Everyone arrives and we go straight into tracking 'Before You Were Young.' This is the last track we have planned to track but who knows if anything else will pop up? Franny and I were tinkering with a new tune last night. So anything is possible."

quite like the hidden tracks but to have to wait for 5 mins before Sailing Away starts is a wee bit sadistic ! Yes let's have 'em but not such a big gap in between please :)

How about having a 4 second gap and then moving onto its own track? Surely better? No?

If we get any hidden tracks, i'll be doing some computery and giving it its own track just like i have with the others. :)
