I was in work today serving customers as per usual and a group of the local kids came in. I'm used to dealing with the odd one and they can be ok on their own but i knew they were going to cause trouble from the start. I gave them the benefit of the doubt letting them get away with a few comments here and there but ended up given them a warning as i wasn't going to have any of their crap! And after a while they started to try and get on dirty websites so chucked them out. They spent the best part of an hour hanging around outside the library in the community centre entrance which is adjoined, trying to kick doors in and locking customers out etc. They're just such a pain! They were there waiting for a youth club that didn't start until over an hour after they turned up. They even started shouting names at a really nice young lad that comes in to do his homework so that sent me over the edge. Why do they have to be like they are? It makes everyone go on edge, especially if you're on your own you feel so wary that they'll do something, it shouldn't be like that!
They kept coming in and making comments because it was me that was shouting at them but i just kept telling them to get out. They were all stood waiting outside when we were closing up the library and the guy i was working with was laughing at me because i was just waiting for them to say some comment as us as we passed so i could just argue back at them. I know the best thing to do is to just ignore them because it's attention they want but grrrrr they really annoy me!
God knows what i'll do when they come back in tomorrow and this week, i should let them in but i know i can't leave them alone, i always have to watch them!

That is just terrible Helen. I can't imagine having to deal with that. |

No one should have to deal with it! Luckily they didn't cause trouble as i was throwing them out, they did just leave but you have to stand up to them otherwise they will run riot! |

I sympathise completely Helen. Little bastards come in and piss around on our iPhones all the time, I've started letting them have a couple minutes then asking them to move on. Then they look at you like you can't do it, then I remind them it's private property and as the manager I can have who I like in the shop, and stop whoever I like coming in (within reason, of course) and it's hunky dory. |

Any employer who would frown on you for this isn't worth working for. |

I'm over it now, i'll probably get pissed off if they come back in and cause havock, especially seeing as i get a lot of elderly people coming in. |

Yeah i think they'll be alright if i do get a complaint but i can't see it happening anyway because they're just a bunch of kids with nothing better to do! |

Morning Helen :)

Their parents SHOULD be disgusted. I know if I'd done anything as naughty as that, I'd had my arse whupped. |

I totally sympathise with you, Helen!
A grocery shop not to far from here banned all school kids from their premises after they had a lot of trouble with them (messed up bread counter so that they couldn't be sold anymore etc). The kids were upset, but I think majority of people agree with the shop owner.
The youth of the day, pffft. |

Well not had any in so far, but if the kids have a new school (most of them keep getting expelled from every school they go to and only usually last a day so they're here all day instead of after school) they won't be here. It'll be after school when i get them and it's me and a lady whose retiring soon so i'll be on with my threats again ha ha |
