I can't believe it's taken me this long to watch the film but i finally bought it with my first pay cheque and my god it was worth the money! I knew it would be fantastically well directed as soon as i saw Anton Corbijn's name attached to it. I watched it on sunday afternoon and confirmed by estimations. Absolutely brilliant film, extremely well directed and a more realistic representation of the band members than the small feature of them in 24 Hour Party People. The acting and writing (the writing of this film won a BAFTA) was amazing too. Anyone who has not seen this film yet, get watching it! I can't believe it took me so long!

I really want to see this but it's about €30 just now and I know they'll be selling it in 6 months time for a tenner.

although I also heard it's fairly depressing, 24hr PP it most ceetainly is not. I recently read the book and by all accounts he actually seemed like a bit of a wanker.

Tis a film about Joy Division but particularly Ian Curtis. It's based on the book written by his wife.

Glad you've heard of 24 Hour Party People though! That film is well worth a watch

I'd lend you my copy but i've just given it to someone else to watch. It is depressing and frustrating at times but its still amazing. You can't even compare it to 24 Hour Party People though because they're so different. I love both films but for very different reasons. I'd go and watch 24PP now if i wasn't in work...damn it lol.

Yeah,I've always found 24hr PP to be a bit of a feel good film, even tho' bits of it are tragic. It's brilliant!!

Tony Wilson 1950-2007 sadly missed R.I.P.

Right with you there Dubz, it makes me feel very proud to be a Salfordian/Mancunian after watching that film. Tony is gone but shall never be forgotten round these parts!
