Hi Anne! I'm not a big fan, but thanks anyway. Here books, films, etc. are released a few months/weeks/days later than in other places, hahaha. Maybe it's because they had to translated into Spanish ;)

I know! That's why I read it in English xD.
I've read every Harry Potter books from 1 to 6 in spanish, but just couldn't wait until the last one was edited. I was sure someone would spoil it for me, so I read it in English.
Maybe I'll buy it in spanish too...

It's being released simultaneously in Castilian, Catalan, and Galician so maybe that is part of the slow process.

Edit: By the way, my husband is going with his parents to La Coruna in a few weeks. I am trying not to be jealous. It's not really working.

LOL. I will. He lived there for a year in high school so he knows what it's like at this time of year. He's going to show his parents around where he lived.

He speaks very good Spanish and sometimes gets teased here because he speaks Spain Spanish vs. Mexican/Hispanic Spanish. (not sure what the best term for what is spoken here is!)

He even does the little lisp thing on the 's' sound.

Don't tell me speaks with Galician accent!!! That's one of the worst from Spain! It's really difficult to understand them, because they mix Spanish and Galician XD
For me Spain Spanish is better, of course :p
And it's true! We lisp 's' sound. For example, we don't say San FranSisco, we say San FranTHisco (not the appropriate symbol, but the same sound you produce when you pronounce THink) *lol*

I have no idea. I kind of doubt it since our friends who live in Madrid have never commented on that.

People from Madrid are the ones with the best accent (I'm from Madrid, by the way :p)

Then let me say that I prefer Argentinian Spanish!!

My grandparents and older relalives on my father's side are/were Galician. They speak (or used to speak) some sort of Spanish that sounds a lot like Portuguese.

And about Harry Potter... I've read it English right after it was released, but I've booked the translated version for my sister so I have to go and pick it up tomorrow at 8.15 pm! LOL
