In addition to having a law practice my boss has a software company that does online voting. We recently purchased an ad with a company. Part of the deal, from our understanding, was a 50-word description on their website. My boss was looking at it this morning and noticed our description wasn't on there. So I wrote this to our contact person:
Hi Jan,
We were looking at the directory online and noticed that only two of the vendors for Election Services had descriptions up. I'm attaching a screen shot of one of those examples and also ours. Do you know why ours isn't listed? I know I submitted one and it was our understanding that the 50-word description would appear in the Buyer's Guide as well as online. Are we mistaken on this point?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Anne
She wrote this back:
Anne, please don’t panic! The on-line Directory is going to be updated in March. At that time, all the 2008 listings will be downloaded into the new system. The listing below is 2007’s.
Sorry for any confusion. We have your description – ready to go when we incorporate the data. Does this make sense?!
Jan
I didn't realize I sounded panicked!! LOL. |

Yeah we haven't paid yet but we are past the point of being able to cancel. I just rarely get accused of panicking (I'm pretty laid back) so it's very funny to me. |

Well one of my friends used to call me panick-Hanne. I used to panick over nothing but I think I've learned not to panick over the years lol
I admire people who are always laid back. |

That's funny. It rhymes so well too. A drawback of being laid back is some can perceive as you not caring about the issue at hand because you're not reacting in a big way.

Some time ago, we had this teambuilding event at work. We were eventually divided into four groups; blue, green, yellow and red. I was green, which means that I like to plan things and I don't deal well with people not sticking to this plan. The part about being structured and wanting to plan is all true, but I think I've learned to deal unplanned events lol
