I haven't watched American Idol in years because it has gotten too packaged, commercialized, I could go on and on. But for some reason I got curious to see who the top 24 contestants were this year. I could also cite many examples of lame answers but I first must address the most important aspect in a singing contest: your appearance. I ask you to look at these pics and tell me if you, like me, believe they must be joking if they think this is attractive. I also can't believe that Irish girl who made a record already is being allowed through!!

I accidentally watched a few minutes of AI last week and saw her sing. She is Janis Joplin-esque which is cool. But I still mock her hair.
Is that gel to make it look unwashed?? |
