It's a little early, but who cares.
I don't think I've ever delved into the 80's for slow dance material, but I'm gonna go out on a limb. I've liked this song ever since I was a kid, before I ever had a grasp of it's true meaning. There are a bazillion songs about new love. This song is about older love, when things have mellowed out a bit.
I love this part:
Through the years as the fire starts to mellow
Burning lines in the book of our lives
Though the binding cracks and the pages start to yellow
I'll be in love with you
I wish there was a real video of this song, but I guess there isn't. The lyrics are wrong in a couple places, but the other videos were so corny.

Nothing exciting going on here tonight. We had our taxes done (big fun!) did some shopping, took the boy for a haircut. Just busy Saturday stuff. I went to a quilt show this morning. Not as impressive as I was hoping it would be. |
