One of my man's employees made a film for a competition here in town. You had to remake a popular movie in 5 minutes or less. His team did "Dirty Dancing" but it's not been posted yet. It should be great since they only used men. I think Baby might have a beard or something.

He showed up this remake of "March of the Penguins" and it's really funny, especially the last half. You'll also get a nice tour of Austin- the capital, the university, down by the lake.

March of the Penguins in a bit over 5 minutes

That is so cute! I especially liked the polar bear attack outside the taco restaurant.

That's definitely the funniest part. Also just penguins eating at Taco Cabana is hi.ster.ic.al.

Hopefully soon. The guy said they were having "technical difficulties."

These short films are addicting. Go watch the 6 minute Gone With the Wind!

One time I starred in a 5 minute horror movie. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law got a new video camera for Christmas about 8 years ago and wanted to try it out, so we made a horror movie. I had received a hideous ceramic clown as a Christmas gift, so that became a "possessed" toy that my husband controlled from a distance with a coat hanger. I went to bed and the clown came to life and attacked me with a corn cob holder (it was the only pointy thing we could find in scale with the clown). I screamed bloody murder and finally succeeded in overcoming the clown and flushing him down the toilet. It was a wonderful piece of cinema. Five minutes of film and it took us 5 hours to make. I have no idea why it took so long, but it did.

The ketchup blood was good. I wasn't prepared for the R.A.N.

Haha, I forgot about that part in the 'real' version.

Watch "Back to the Future (Swede version)." Very funny, great miniatures, and 1.21 gigawatts!

"Babe" is good too. The smart aleck sheep are great.

Brian's employee burned him a copy of "Dirty Dancing" so I got to see it. It's pretty funny. They basically stuck to the iconic lines and scenes so it's more funny due to a man playing Baby and the guy playing Patrick Swayze has an awesomely bad mullet wig.

Baby has a mustache and a huge costume nose that is several shades lighter than her(his?) skin tone. Also a wig that is more clown like in its curliness than not.

My favorite part is at the end when Baby is going to do the lift it shows her running at him and then the shot cuts to him holding a blowup doll in the air.

It still hasn't been posted due to copyright issues related to the songs. The site host (not sure if that's the right term) for the contest's domain is really strict and keeps flagging them when they try to enter. What's really unfair is some stuff is using the music from the original movies but since it's not a pop song it's slipping through the cracks more easily.

Anyway I'll let you know if it's ever posted. I might suggest he put it up on YouTube so people can at least see it.
