If I remember correctly, Lemon Grinner, you live in Camden. Hope the fire didn't affect you and that you're ok. |

I was at a mates house when it happened, but my house has been evacuated, we live right next to the fire, it was my local pub that burned up :( :( :( Apparently you could feel the flames from my balcony and you could certainly see the whole thing happening!
It was because the canal is in between the fires and my house that we are safe. I save someone outta the canal, so the canal saves me :)
Still, I'm fucking gutted, Camden's really not gonna be the same. I bet they are gonna redevelop it into something shite and modern.
But yeah, the Grin lives on ;-) |

Part of me wishes I was at home to see it all happen, but I woulda been in hysterics. I cant believe the Hawley Arms has as been burnt up! It was full of posers on weekend evenings, but any other time it was an ace pub!
I suppose all this gives me an excuse not to go into college...!
And thank fuck I was staying at a pal's house last night and took a toothbrush and some knickers hahahaha. |

You should still go to college,
I'm sorry to hear about your local but it gives you the opporchancity to scour all the pubs for a new local.

Ugh, I think I have just heard we are out of our home for 5 days... It's only the block I live on and the immediate surroundings of the pub and markets that are closed. Ugh.

Hey Grin, I'm glad you're OK. When I was in London I went to the Camden market. When I heard the news this afternoon I felt very sad :( |
