Fantastic evening.
Travis on at 10pm straight into 45 minutes of new stuff, sounds very promising I have to say.
Off for 5 minutes then back for a great trawl through the back catalogie, during the encore Fran was asking for requests and had to have a bit of a practice to get the key right for 'Follow the Light'. People also asked for 'AIWDIR' 'Reoffender'. Great stuff.
They finally left the stage at 12.10am so we were really treated.
Thanks for a great evening guys. |

Absolutely awsome.
Loved it last night.
Guy's please come back to Portsmouth again. :)
The guy's seemed to really be enjoying themselves last night. Some great songs played. We certainly got our moneys worth last night as well! Over 2 hours of Travis alltogether. 45 Mins of new stuff and then some of their more familiar stuff with requests thrown in for good measure at the end.
Palace Fires seemed alright. Reminded me a bit of David Gray in their sound.
I liked some of the new Travis stuff. 'Friends' was good, 'Before you were young' stood out and also one or two at the start were were also very good.
There was one song at the start it was either 'Something Anything' or 'Long way Down' which I also really liked. I think it may have been 'Long way Down' which had some words in which went something like 'people with their head in the sand trying to understand thinks they dont understand...' something like that anyway. It sounded really good.
Overall the new stuff sounds good, a bit more rocky and funky than TBWNN. |

If they do requests at Bristol and people choose stupid things, I'll kill 'em! (The requesters, not the band...) |

Some pictures from last night (and this morning):

or

(57 MBs, I'm too lazy to go through each one in detail to make them smaller)
Easily the best gig I have been to, topping Noise and Confusion back in 2005. |

Thanks for posting the pictures! Could you maybe explain the t-shirt and lyrics? How did you get those? |

According to one of the reviews in the Tour Archive section it was Falling Down - beautiful song :-) |

The t-shirt I purchased from the stand when going into the venue, and that lyric leaflet they gave out.
Looking at that set-list in the review, Falling Down is in there twice. |

Great Gig :o)
Loved the new stuff, seriously looking forward to the new album.
Highlight for me - Fran spotting other half with his hand up for a request 'The big guy wae the glasses!'
DELIGHTED!
Cheers guys

Hi,
it's a speech made by a character in the film - Network.
See:

And hear it at this link:

One of the requests was Follow The Light. Should be in place of where someone listed the second Falling Down.
Great gig guys. New stuff sounds great and always good to hear a few of the oldies. Really appreciate the boys staying on longer and doing some extra requests. Can't wait to hear the finished album. |

Stupid things like what? Hehe.
If I were going to any of the gigs and I could request a song, I'd choose Good Day To Die or Blue Flashing Light! |
