Here's a song I wrote called Busking Man, I ghost wrote it, meaning I had a tune in my mind and tried to write it with the right syllables on each line but may have been out on a few, same sort of layout too. I used a Travis song for that, you could either guess it if you want or just have me post what it was? Anyway here's the song:
Busking Man - Fellrunners, lyrics by Nick
Everyday on the corner
Playing to passers by
His flat cap on the cobbles
His passion in his eye
Music is his first love
As he sings the whole day through
Playing for some spare change
The single income he earns
Playing the only guitar he'll ever own
The Busking Man playing on the corner
Singing for the change of the passers by
The Busking Man, sitting on the cobbles
Singing all day through, dawn until sunset
Now he needs a quick break
A quick pint at the pub
The old one down the street
He goes to everyday
Then down to the corner shop
To pick up the newspaper
But now it's back to work
Strumming on his guitar
But now The Busking Man has grown older
And now it's nearing the end of his time
His old broken guitar in the corner
And his tattered flat cap lying on the floor
Now he just sits at home
Humming his old songs
Listening to his records
On his old player
Back when he was younger
He thought he had it all
Memories just remain
Fading to regret
Thinking what he could have done
The Busking Man playing on the corner
Singing for the change of the passers by
The Busking Man, sitting on the cobbles
Singing all day through, dawn until sunset
And now his final sunset has arrived
But now he's the only one passing by
The trendy wine bar that replaced the pub
The supermarket not the corner shop
His box is coming to the end
And now is buried in the earth

The covers and art is just because I was bored and thought it might be fun. We do have a band called Fellrunners but we don't have a singer and have never really seriously made music. |

Hehe. When I first read it, I thought it was Driftwood, but then I mixed some lines and got confused |
