I didn't have a record player initally so every Sunday I'd bring my singles up to my Nana's house and blare them on one of those snazzy wooden entertainment centers with radio, tape and turntable inside, oooh futuristic!

I'm very embarrased to say it was a Celine Dion single. Thankfully I lost it years ago and I don't remember the name of it.
My first Travis single on the other hand was Walking in the Sun |

The first Album I bought was Outlandos D'amour...

i bet you remember the name of the celine song. sure i feckin' LOVE "my heart will go on". jonesy can attest as she has to listen to my impersonation every time the song turns up on the car radio!

oh yeah i was BIG antfan myself, had "Antmusic" which i loved and i remember taping the first Adam and the Ants album on me trusty Sanyo tape recorder off the album me mate at school lent me - had to keep telling my sister to shut the fuck up as she'd be picked up during the recording in the living room. bless. |

ahhh good old Status Quo, jaysus i haven't thought about them in a long, long time. remember that greatest hits album they had "12 Gold Bars" with that cover with a gold hand doing the standard three bar blues chord on the guitar neck?

I've never bought a CD Single...
But in Vinyl... it was "Obsession" cant remember who sang it...
I also bought Prince Charming by the Beautifull (huge crush) Adam Ant.. and was raging when it got knocked off the number one spot on TOTP ... cried me eyes out I did
oh and cant forget about Bronski Beat.. I bought a few of theirs... tell me whyyyyyyy |
