I just got back from the coolest I-Max movie experience EVER! If you like U2 at all, I would highly recommend going to see the new "U2 3D" concert! It feels like you're actually there -- in the audience pogoing with the crazy Argentinean U2 fans, on stage with Bono and The Edge and even flying over the stage. At one point it even looks as if Bono is touching your cheek when he sings "wipe the tears from your eyes, wipe those tears away" during Sunday Bloody Sunday. My boyfriend is a bigger U2 fan than I am, but he's really got me into them and I had a blast. It's the closest thing you can get to a real live performance.
I was imagining how incredible it would be to see a Travis concert at a 3D I-Max show. Of course, nothing is better than the real thing, but just imagine...Fran rocking out and almost touching you, Andy crowd surfing over you and Dougie's hips swaying out of the screen! :D |

Oh! You're right...I just looked it up and it was actually shot at nine concerts during the Vertigo Tour. I heard Bono shout out "Buenos Aires!" ... but didn't realize it was also shot in places like Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Santiago. Wiki says that some footage is also from Melbourne in late 2006.
It was truly amazing. It will give you chills! :)
PS: I agree with Megg...nice avatar you've got there, lol!

We saw a preview for this before "Beowulf" (which we saw in 3-D, hence 3-D previews) and it looked awesome. I remember my husband turning to me and saying, "they couldn't do Travis because Dougie's hips in 3-D would be too much!"
LOL
I think it could attract more people to the shows.
We are planning on seeing it soon. Can anyone babysit? |

Oh man, he's so right! lol
I think I can babysit, I even watched "The Nanny" today, so I'm experienced! =D |

This morning on the radio they had a quote from Bono talking about making this film and he said the crew was so passionate about this project and their music and how wonderful it was to fill in these various South/Latin American places. He then said, "Irish people are basically Latin people who can't dance."
LOL |
