Oh nooo! That's hard to watch, lol. That's so embarrassing...but I like Bill Clinton a lot.
PS: The democratic debate was great last night. It got pretty heated at times. A lot of ganging up on Obama over his health care plan and voting "present" on hundreds of important votes. I thought all three did well though. So nice to hear three presidential hopefuls that can actually SPEAK well and understand what the hell they are talking about. |

I was just reading about his "present" votes. At least the ones related to abortion were strategically planned. A lot of other deomocrats were getting slammed when they ran for voting against the wishes of the pro-lifers. So he (and the head of Planned Parenthood) came up with the idea to simply vote present. That way it couldn't be used against them but the bills wouldn't pass.
Obama was actually willing to vote no (partly because he was in a liberal district so it wouldn't hurt him as much) but did it partly for solidarity.
I don't know about the other things he voted "present" on though. |
