not in our house - that's for special occasions.
Toast with jam or cereal (weekdays)
Croissants are a favourite at the weekend along with scrambled egg on toast or bacon butties. |

I think most English families don't have this every morning, but a typical 'Full English Breakfast' is as you said, eggs, sausage, beans, bacon, maybe mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns mmm.
Buff stuff. It's great hangover food. |

when i worked as a labourer on the building sites in london back in the day, we would stop off at the greasy spoon and fill up for the day. my usual would be something like:
4 sausages
4 rashers (strips of bacon)
chips (french fries)
5 slices of white bread n'butter
gallon of tomato sauce (ketchup)
gallon of piping hot tea
it's amazing, i'd eat that and not a pound of weight was gained, probably because of all the activity mixing cement and climbing up and down the scaffolding with bags of lime on me shoulder. oh to be young and fit once more *creaks* |
