*butts in *
Just saw recently that in the uk there is to be an 80's tour. Sad thing is , most of that bands werent really that big in the first place.
The only one i can think of the top of my head at the moment is Curiousity killed the cat.
I will try and find the line up.

Although I was only born in 1980, I remember most of these names. Not sure I'd buzz with excitement though if I were going to this gig lol

Ah ha, finally i'm back - clarinet lesson with middle daughter, tae-kwon-do with son, then off to find food to eat (our normal MOnday fish and chips scuppered as the shop was shut) now finaaly home!

Anyhow, i liked . . . DM (my fav), Yazoo, the Cure, Stephen 'tin tin' duffy, Ultravox, . . . lordy this is hard - such a loooooong time ago. i shall have to go and fetch out my 7" records from under the stairs and go through them to find out. There is a big difference in early and late 80's too as house music began to creep in and i didn't like that.

(i can't get under the stairs - too dark and the torch batteries died - and the cats decided to invade - and the records are right at the back with loads of stuff in front.)

SO this is going to have to go on memory - mainly i liked 1 or 2 songs of a group but not much else of their stuff. I can remember getting beatles and mccartney albums one XMas.

early 80's - Blondie, Dexy's, Jam, Police (oh Sting!!!), Adam and the ANts, and oh god the shame SHakin Stevens as i went through a rocker phase, Soft Cell, the Human League, Madness, Phil Collins, Echo and the Bunnymen, Edwyn Collins,

Later 80's - Eurythmics, Feargal SHarkey, Chris de Burgh, Communards, T'Pau, Fairground Attraction, U2, Transvision Vamp

Ah, that no 1's site came in very useful!
