What are you looking forward to for next year, music-wise? For me it's:

Anything Travis might care to release ;)
Elbow
Adele
Iam Kloot
Belle & Sebastian

(some of the above being dreams!)

The prospect of a Verve album is delicious! Apart from that, i'm really looking forward to making and releasing my own music in 2008. I don't think it'll get more exciting for me than that :)

I think Coldplay is a strong possability but isn't confirmed. Think they started playing new songs at gigs a while ago which made people think it could happen. That and the fact that X & Y was a wee while ago now...On the other hand I culd be wrong.
Edit:Just been on the myspace looks like they've def been busy in the studio :)

I'm a Coldplay fan and have their first two albums but was disappointed with X&Y and never bought a copy for myself. I love "Speed of Sound" and "Fix You"...but that's all that really stood out to me on that one. I hope they come back strong in 2008, but at the same time I'm rooting for Travis to make a killer rock album that blows it out of the water too, lol.

I also hear Weezer is working on new music...another band I've been disappointed in lately. Damn, they were good back in the day. I hope they can get back to that sound for 2008. They've always been a band I want to see live. Them and Oasis. :)

I love X&Y. It's a great album (not as good as A Rush...) but it has brilliant songs: Square One, White Shadows, Fix You, Talk....
