Wow, good work! How did you find out?
Pity they're only doing those dates, but hopefully they'll go everywhere again during the main tour.
Two weeks? They are ambitious :)
PS. From wikipedia:
"They will test the songs during a brief two week tour of Great Britain under an alias while supporting other smaller bands."
Ummmm, does anyone else wonder whether that would work? Surely someone in the audience would recognise one of them. And it's on wikipedia anyway, for the world to see... |

It came out via email, but I haven't seen anyone else post to say they got the same email. |

Yeah, I just read that on the other forum :)
I don't get the emails, though I've added my name to the list many times. Maybe you're the specially chosen spokesperson. |

Maybe they'll wear costumes to disguise themselves. LOL! |

Maybe they'll dress up as Frank, Dogie and whatever the other two were, so people will think they're imposters ;)
Esteban, I think you might be slightly biased :P You did get the news out quickly, so you're obviously quite good anyway! |

Oh yes! Maybe they'll play as their alter egos Frank Healy, Dogie Payne, Anley Dounlop and Nail Primeroast of Treivis!!! LMAO (from an old G-Chat thread for those of you unfamiliar with "bizarro Travis"). One of their biggest hits was "Feathers in the Window" off the album 10 Memories. |

Thanks for explaining. You have a better memory than me! How could I forget Mr Primeroast?
Wouldn't you love it if they got booed off stage cos everyone thought they were a bad new indie band or something!
EDIT: Or, even better, because they were too unoriginal - "just like that dreary music from Travis and Coldplay," say the punters :D |

Nikki, did you get to see the rare photo of Dogie? It was in the Dougie vs Dougie challenge. Complete with both feather and window. Link here:

Sorry, I'm sure you mean well, but this is such a frustrating thread. If a band has the (gratefully appreciated by me) courtesy to quietly let its fans who are interested enough to sign up to their mailing list have advance notice of the sale of tickets, why publicly announce it? I will be more than unhappy if I fail to buy any on Tuesday but see tickets immediately for sale on Ebay. |

I'm signed up to the mailing list and didn't get it. A lot of us are HUGE Travis fans who post here and I thank Esteban for posting it. |
