An obscure band that you really think eople should listen to...at least once, be helpful if they are influential...
One selection from each boardie please.
Mines..
Amon Duul II - try Wolf Cuty or Phallus Dei (God's Cock) around the same time as pink floyd but infinitley better in my opinion, probably termed the phrase Krautrock,
Dubz |

Oversol
Sadly no longer in existence but they released an album last year, just before they split.
Mates of Athlete. Brilliant songwriters. Soft rock genre. Unsigned and underappreciated. If there was justice, they'd have filled stadiums. (stadia???)
ps. Quick edit. If anyone's curious, please pm me, and I'll email you a track or two! :) |

Elle s'appelle - Tiny Flame
Just discovered these guys in the last few days, and this song's possibly got the catchiest chorus of the year
Quote: 'like Mates of State covering XTC and Billy Joel with occasional Freddie Mercury vocals' |

Andre Manuel
created different bands over the years: Krang/ Fratsen/ De ketterse fanfare/
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=5BNZsv0kggo (this is Krang)
(Sings about what it is like to be a popstar)
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=kOhEG4TUJuA (this is Andre Manuel solo. He sings about "his own" funeral)
A short explaination:
It is a plain funeral, while he really wanted it to be somewhat different. (a last night at the bar, the coffin on the bar, a joint passes, friends and family drunk and having a "good time", A taxivan comes, everybody in, the coffin at a windowseat, a trip to sea, where people sing, walk the dunes, and collect shelves and lay them in his lap until the first light of morning, then a boat is build from driftwood, he is put in it and, the boat set on fire is pushed to sea. his friends and family stay behind on the beach. |

20/20 -
New Wave at times, Power Pop at others, could be Beatlesy too
Chronically underrated IMO |
