I agree. The first Travis CD I bought was Singles, then The Invisible Band and 12 Memories I think at the same time, then TBWNN and I still don't have The Man Who (my favourite) and Good Feeling (way too hard to find them in Argentina).

I vote for "The man who" and well, If you haven't listened any other cds Travis singles would be a nice choice.

If you have enough money, YOU SHOULD BY ALL!!!
I'd so that if I could
but if you can't, Singles is a good option I think |

In my opinion, you shouldn't buy Singles to start with.
I recommend this order:
1) The man who(to make you more familiar with the typical Travis' sound)
2) 12 memories (to know the darkest side of Travis, but in a great album anyways, and keeping the same sound)
3) The invisible band (the softest album, it doesn't add nothing new, and keeps the same sound)
4) Good feeling (I recommend listen to it at the last place, cause it's a great album but it has a different sound, rockier than the others) |

I would go back to the beginning:
Good Feeling
The Man Who
The Invisible Band
12 Memories
so you get a wee history and a feel how the band evolved
oh and don't forget to get Coming Around ! the single not belonging to any album.

haha...i saw your subject line and immediately though, ALL of them! but, now i see...
I'd go with The Man Who as your second. But, eventually, you really should get a hold of all the others, as they are wonderful...different sounds for different moods.
Hope you enjoy whatever you get! Happy Listening! |
