I was listening to Travis albums on vinyl last night, and for some reason they sound a whole lot better. Love Will Come Through sounded absolutely amazing, as did much of the rest of 12 Memories, Battleships was mesmeric, and More Than Us never fails to stun me.

Then i listened to Harvest by Neil Young and realised that it's just vinyl that makes stuff sound awesome

so you did detect a difference? I know vinly buffs swear that there is. Playing a record on a recoed player takes me back to my early teenhood ;)
all I can think of the sound of a scratching needle LOL

Technically, apparently it has to do with digtal being little square bits, hence making the sound more edgy...... it there somebody who can explain this to a philistine like me ?? :-P

It just sounds a bit more 'full' or something. And you can hear little bits that get lost on CD. But maybe that's just me!

For me, some things sound better on vinyl. Some CD reissues they mess with the mix so it doesn't sound the same too.

Oh, cheers for the offer - that was a nice thought but it's too late anyway, I've completely converted to CD now and have no more vinyls left.
