I'm just back from Switzerland where I saw Travis on Saturday and the show was brilliant as always :) My mum and I got there early in the morning to make sure we'd get a good spot on the front row. We suffered hell watching the bands that played before Travis... I got kicked in the head, elbowed in the ribs and literally crushed against the barriers but I wouldn't leave my spot. I'm a giant bruise now but it was all forgotten by the time Travis got on stage.
The show was amazing. Hearing "The beautiful occupation" again was a nice surprise. I was just a bit annoyed by the lack of audience participation. They went completely wild during the previous concerts and for Travis they were just shy. Towards the end Fran said he was worried that people might be embarrassed because they were "unresponsive" when he talked about sex - I got the feeling that they were unresponsive most of the time (watch the intro to Good Feeling - I'll post the link later). I was annoyed because it felt like the guys were giving a lot as always but they weren't getting much back. At one point I think I was the only one clapping - at least I had a great time!! So thanks a million guys for another excellent show. Special thanks to Dougie for all the smiles and for posing for me on numerous occasions :) You guys rock!

Lucile, I love the picture where Dougie is looking RIGHT at you! They're such sweethearts for doing that for fans! I have two pics like that (one of Dougie and one of Andy) from the Detroit gig! Looks like it was a great time :O)

Thanks Nikki - I love that pic too. Dougie kept on smiling at me and posing and this is the picture that turned out best. I was testing my new camera for the first time and I'm really pleased with the result :) |
