| I'm fed up cos I received a parking ticket today for £90 and it's come from a private company called sbcontrolled parking.Anyone heard of them? I've parked on an industrial estate on a sunday afternoon a month ago for 10 mins whilst collecting my child from a party. there was a strange man lurking no uniform or ID. and I asked him if it was ok to park there, he said yes for 10 mins. then the swine has photographed my car whilst I was collecting my child, a month down the line i have been issued this ticket for not having a permit, i don't recall any obvious signage notifying me I needed a permit. I'm livid.. I thought councils issued parking tickets. I don't know whether it's a scam, who do you ask to see if it is a scam? It's the first time i've had a ticket and I have appealed but I just wondered if anyone has any advice. |

Call the council and ask them if they have a private company issuing tickets, or if they do it themselves. Or the industrial estate may issue its own tickets, but i'm not sure if that's legal.

It just doesn't feel right, the parking ticket thing.
Go to red chilli at lunchtime if you are on a budget, there is a cheaper menu on. It's nice and clean and yummy. The Thai in chinatown has changed hands and it's awful now.

It doesn't sound right. I googled the company but couldn't find anything.
Will do.
I didn't make it to that one either, I'll cross it off the list.

| woah, this sounds really dodgy. A parking ticket for £90? I thought fixed penalties were only about £15-30 max? Hmmm, think you need to investigate! |
