When I post messages on board member's profiles they only show up half of the time. Not sure if this is happening to anyone else...??
Just wanted to let you know.
Thanks! |

I think it's something to do with the subject box- there has to be something in there or they don't send i've found |

hi Nikki,
we're assuming you mean private messages rather than comments on people's profiles?
As noted above by Paul, you need to supply a subject line for every PM you send - otherwise the script will not execute and your message will not appear in your sent folder or in the other members inbox.
We've checked through the scripts today and they all appear to be working ok. The only other reason we can think of for a PM not being sent is a server time lag or time out when you hit send on your message something that can happen when the server is very busy or overloaded, but this is something which is outwith our control.

hmm...my comments aren't showing up on anyone's profiles...I'm not talking about Private Messages either.
I always get a message saying that it had been posted, but they don't show up. |

Hi Sandy,
that's very strange that it works for other members but not for you - how frustrating. So you've never managed to post a comment?...We'll ask our technical whizz to take a look and see if he can spot anything that would cause this. |

Well, well, looks like it's a can of worms this comments issue. It's very odd that it works at some points and not others, usually a programming issue is fairly cut and dried - it either works or it doesn't work not a mixture of the two.
We need to find an event scenario around it, which looks like it may prove tricky ...as said above, we'll have a look and see if we can find anything.

No, we can't. All your passwords are masked from us too - and this is the element you need to access your profile and get to your inbox.
