Something i don't understand - maybe you can help.

I went to a bookstore to get quotations for books i want to sell.
old book : 1 euro
new book : 3 euros

Based on the fact i payed 5 euros max for old books and between 10 to 17 euros for new books, how come it's more relevant to sell old stuff ?

Old books ? i don't know - i have loads of Jane Austen and i don't think they're a rarety but i do see there's a high demand for them.
I'm so gutted - i have these brand new books i cannot sell.

Try selling them on Ebay instead! Second hand bookshops are a nightmare if you are selling your books, it's similar over here. I have loads of books including books from my student days which I payed a fortune for but secondhand they go for pennies! Best selling them on Ebay or Amazon! Good Luck!

Ebay is still a crapshoot at times , but better then trying to sell to a dealer
