Yes, you heard it correct. He and The Good The Bad and The Queen crew rocked last night. I seriously was expecting a rather low- senseless gig but it was simply great.
Who says Damon is a snob prick? He is probably one of the sweetest, kindest musicians among all I have seen so far. Not to mention he is extremely gorgeous too! Hehee
Just writing a review of last night and having a break right now. Just wanted to say hi to you (if anyone is still awake that is!!). Haven't been around for a while. How's things with the board? I miss this place! :-)
P.S. Don't let Gallaghers know about this. Just between me and you!! :-P |

Fair enough! ;-)
I am fine, thanks! Awfully insomniac as usual. I've totally loosen it up lately. Even started confusing days as I don't have any sleep at all some days. haha
How are you? |

Apparently you're sleeping for myself too. :-P
I am doing some jobhunting these days. Guess, I will become more of a normal scheduled person when I get a new job. |

yep... when you get a job you wont be an insomniac anymore... well, maybe, at first, you will be at work as some kinda zombie, but then you will probably become "normal scheduled" ;P
Gym is also helpful for insomniacs

ME!! I'm not denying he's a seriously talented and accomplished musician with a huge insight, and he may be a nice guy, but that doesn't mean he's not a snob, That whole cheeky chappy Mockney thing really managed to grate on my nipple ends, tosser, just get on with making decent music

I like the album. It's a bit downtempo conmparing to their earlier works and pretty much political! I mean don't expect a rock'n roll stuff! ;-)
I think Nature Springs is my favorite. |

Of course YOU! ;-)
You're totally right. I was also irritated by that Mockney thing and his attitudes back in 90s. But I think as getting older Damon learned to become a better man. I remember in "Live Forever" he seemed really to regret of his earlier times. I sensed it when he blamed the whole thing on his youth, big media bosses and the men in charge at the time. Anyway, I was sure to see a snob, distant guy on the stage and that's why I was not expecting such a great show. Very pleased to be proved wrong by him now.
P.S. Fancy signature you have up there! |

Hehe, Sorry Toots,
...but I do remember having an Indie compilation which had a Blur track on it called There's No Other Way which I think was out around the same time as the Inspiral Carpets - This is How it Feels and There She Goes by The La's... very early 90's nd very Indie then 5 years later they re-surface all Mockney and cheeky chappies. It just sorta pissed me off cause I knew they were good even without the attitude and Damon All-Bran was deffo the leader in perpetuating the myth.
However I guess without the money and fame raised from All- Bran & Co.'s antics they would have been able to express and explore all the other avenues, the most famous of course being... Gorillaz. I remember Oasis and Blur going head to head with two singles a battle which Blur won but Noel later commented that Blur may have won the battle but Oasis would win the war. I thought so to at the time, however these days I'm not so sure...
