Our guitarist wants to write a song dedicated to Travis. Mentioning inspiration and stuff like that. We all think it's a good idea but my brother and our drummer's dad thinks it's a bit pointless. We're really only doing it for fun ... I think.
Anyway. does anyone else think it's a good idea or is it just us? |

writing a song about something that inspires and moves you sounds like a great idea to me. |

You're not related to someone called Steve Elliott by any chance, are you?

Is your guitarist your friend who will sacrifice himself upstairs in the Horseshoe bar if Travis don't come and play in Glasgow again? |

No way. The guitarist is the funnest guy in the world. And so's his identical twin, the drummer. And his girlfriend, the bassist. And his best friend, me.
We're one big happy family. My other friend is just an idiot |

Your brother and your drummer's dad are not in your band, right? Why should they get a say as to whether or not you should write a song about Travis (or about anything else for that matter)? If you and your band feel like you should do it, then do it. You'll see how it turns out. |

They don't have a say, it's really just their opinion. An opinion we're not listening to :P. We're going to play the song anyway. I was just wondering what other people thought about it. |
