Which live Travis dvd do you like more: More than Us or Live at The Palace? Which do you think captures their live gigs better? |

I prefer More than Us, Live in Glasgow because the energy just is so infectious, but both of them are amazing and offer awesome glimpses of the band in action.
As far as which is a better representation of the band live, well I think they both are equal because they are different tours with different albums to promote :)
However I will say there is nothing that can beat that version of Last Christmas... with the exception possibly of Back in Black ;) |

Have you never seen Doug singing All The Young Dudes???
Or even Fran doing "20" with just an acoustic?!
Back in Black is good, but Doug doing Mott The Hoople is awesome! |

i have seen Fran do '20' a total of 3 times on various tours, and i agree it's amazing, especially purely acoustically. i also was lucky enough to see dougie perform all the young dudes on the invisible band tour...
... but i say back in black because the energy at the Pontiac show last week was SO powerful for me that it just tops 'em all ;) i guess it's all quite personal.
plus i got to tease Andy after the show about paying off everyone in order for him to play the acdc classic hehehe |

More than Us all the way, i thought the London one was pretty poor, not the performance by any means but the atmosphere just seemed to be.....lacking |

First of all, All The Young Dudes is a Bowie song...Mott covered it...
Secondly, it's gotta be the More Than Us DVD...I adore the hell out of Ally Pally, but More Than Us really does capture the energy of the band and the crowd, and I really love the documentary footage...just seems more playful and not so serious. |

I'd say More Than Us as well. The atmosphere does seem to be better on that one although that may be down to the general public's view of the band at the time - arguably the biggest band in the UK at the point of The Invisible Band's release in comparison to the relatively muted reception to 12 Memories. Brilliant versions of Slide Show and Blue Flashing Light on that DVD. |
