Brinkman Newsletter that Id thought Id share

Hello!

The tour is going really well. People are recognising us from the first
set of dates with Travis. Here's briefly some of the highlights so
far...

Glasgow:all the shows so far have been great but Travis' home town was
a special night and the crowd were really up for it! We're converting
many people to the Brinkman cause along the way...but then you probably
know that or you wouldn't be reading this - duh.

Inter-band Frivolity:band relationships are good as usual but so far on
this tour the level of bullying has reached new heights. The
interesting thing is that no one person gets singled-out for too long, it could
be Neil & Tom mentally cornering Paul for a good 5 mins before Tom will
switch the focus to Neil and we'll all stick the knife in. Funnily
enough Neil was just saying how he'd like to write some of this blog but
we've taped his drum fingers together so he can't do mischief.

Footwear Crisis:in Dundee a member of Travis' crew burst into our
dressing room in a panic asking for sized 9 shoes 'cos Fran was slipping all
over the stage in his slip-ons. Tom, lovely fella that he is, instantly
whipped off his Converse and threw them at the roadie, narrowly
avoiding a sub-heading within this rambling entitled "Concussed Roadie Drama".
This is all very well but when the trainers were returned they were
hotter than the sun... Fran may be a cool charmer on & off stage but we
can confirm he has hot hot feet!

Soaking Up The Local Culture:there's nothing quite like a lazy drive
from Aberdeen (where we played on Sat 19th) down to Newcastle along the
coast, peering out the tourbus windows at the North Sea...craving a
swim. But sod that - let's stop in Dunbar to enjoy "the best homemade steak
pie in Scotland!" instead. Ahh a beer garden all to ourselves and the
smell of coal in the air... Maybe we'll have a dip in Bournemouth at the
end of the week - right before we sample their local pies and Tom's
beer garden at home. (He's a native, you know.) The best thing is, we
haven't even touched a service station Ginsters yet!!

But we'll keep you all posted on that front, and any other high jinx
and amusement.

Peace out

Brinkman x

Cheers. Would be nice if Neil made an appearance.
