how is everyone today?

After a few days off work, getting a sunburn including a terribly itchy sun rash, I'm back in the safe shadows of the office :o)

Morning Hanne
I'm having a sneeky peek on the computer - I've got people staying at the moment (they're leaving today, phew) It's great to see them but it means having to DO things - I don't like doing too much when I'm on hols, prefer lazing around, listening to music, reading etc. How's your sunburn? I'm not complaing about the sun cos it's long overdue and it's nice to finally get out and use the BBQ.

Well that's the thing about holidays, you have to actually be social sometimes :oP I'm sure you're enjoying it anyway though.

My sunburn is ok, and I usually like it when the sun comes out, as long as it stays away from my pale, scandinavian skin lol

How long is your holiday?

Oh yes that's right! Careful of the sun though, just proved for God-knows-which-time in my life that the sun is just as bad here as anywhere else :oP

When I got the burn on Saturday, they'd promised thunder, showers and clouds. What we got was sun. Advice: bring rain coats and sun lotion. This way you're always covered hehe

Another one here whose skin doesn't like the sun (blond hair/pale skin) I'm always shade hopping in the summer and can't cope if it goes above 30°C. I'm on hols for the whole summer now (yippeeeee) so I suppose I have plenty of time - mustn't complain! I take it then you're at work still, Hanne?

Will do!
I was wondering about the weather, cause the north of NL has had awefull weather: thunderstorms, rain, hail. one man actually died because he was struck by lightning:(
But it seems like you had no such weather. Which ofcourse is a good thing:)

glad to know that I'm not the only one suffering hehe. I guess there's a reason why I was born up north.

I had two days off this week and then I've got two weeks off in August where I'm going to Turkey for one week. It's really hot down there at the moment so I'm dreading it a bit. But I'm going there to see a friend who works as a tourist guide at the moment, so it will be good to see her again.

Have you got any plans for your holiday?

We haven't had much summer either, and this weekend they had some really bad hail storms further up north. Someone I know even got dents in the car from them.

But I'm sure you'll take the sun with you. Where is you're going again?

Will start our holiday in Gudmindrup (sjaeland) and the last week we'll be near Assens (Funen). Both times very close to the sea! I love the sea! Sounds like you will have a great holiday too in Turkey. Will you be spending your second week somewhere else or back in Denmark?

Ah yes, Assens is on the other side of the water from here, basically. It's very beautiful on Funen. I like the sea too, it's a good thing that we live in countries with so much coast line :o)

I'll be spending my second week here, probably going to see friends and family. Don't have any real plans yet except for spending some time with my best friend.

It's Kolding, it's a bit north of Assens on the other side (ie Jutland).

It's gonna be really nice not having many plans, just hanging around and doing what I feel like :o)

i know, i am bringing a truck load of books, haven't read in ages and miss it big time. I was just wondering, are you going to see TRAVIS again on this tour? When they were in NL i heard they were coming back soon, would that mean a new european tour?? Heard anything about that?
And since i am asking questions, have your read any good books lately?

I haven't heard anything about a tour (I guess they would announce this on the front page), but I'm certainly hoping that they'll come to Copenhagen. Or Kolding or Aarhus, wouldn't mind that either lol. They've already been to Amsterdam this year but who knows, maybe they'll come back...

Well I've read a couple of good books, including the one I'm reading at the moment;

Ken Follett: Pillars of the Earth (on wikipedia)
Ron McLarty: The Memory of Running
Mark Haddon: The Curious Incident About the Dog in the Night-Time (on wikipedia)

and then of course there's the Dan Brown novels which are always page turners, albeit somewhat unrealistic lol
