Why does the phrase ‘sleeping like a baby’ which denotes sleeping well, when a baby wakes every 4 hours for feeding?

That doesn't denote a baby sleeping. When a baby is awake, it is not sleeping. That covers a babies night...
Sleeping like a baby means that you sleep soundly, like a baby!
Speaking of which, here's a picture of a sleeping baby fur seal, which are excellent sleepers!
This seal is definitely alive, and looks a little bit like me! :oS Lol |
