Don't you think devoted fans (read: me and anyone who spends time in here) should be rewarded with a meet and greet before the concerts? Especially in North America I think the numbers would be manageable.

I know, I should put the crack pipe down. But I think we could all plead our case.

the meet and greet at coachella was terrible...mostly because of the virgin megastore staff...the fellas were great of course...i didn't get to meet them that day...made up for it the next day at the fonda gig...paul is right...get there early, leave late. =)

That's good advice. I am sad that everyone is so bitter and jaded that we can't even dream!

(that second sentence was really hard to write with a straight face. I couldn't even finish typing before I started laughing)

i think that would be a cool idea for perhaps the seated venues (to ensure that people get there early enough to catch the opener, whereas the GA venues there will be plenty of people there early!!).

To those who have already went to a Travis show, can you give me an estimate of how early you showed up? They're coming to Toronto July 19th, show starts at 7PM. Usually, I show up 4 hours before the doors open.

ditto - i like to show up around 4 hours early as well but i'm so worried about philly. i have to fly into boston (as i'm flying on business) and took the first flight in. and then have to drive the 6 hours to philly....agh! i think the earliest i can get there is 4, which blows.

at least these aren't winter shows. i saw pete yorn at the electric factory last march (i think) and it was, not kidding, in the middle of a blizzard. you know, the one that shut down nyc for a day. was outside in line for 6 hours. i dont think i thawed out the entire show!!

LOL, do you know what I'm still embarrassed about? At the Henry Fonda, me and my friend were standing in line right, then we went to put something back into the car in the parking lot across the street from the alley behind the theatre. And then I spotted Fran and Dougie from across the street, mind you I have horrible eyesight!!, and then we got so excited, that we just walked past a whole bunch of ppl, right up to Fran. We stood behind like, one or two girls. But I think we must've cut the line without realizing it. I mean, all I could do at the time was stare and walk towards Fran. It was like..some sort of magnetic pull. And when i thought back at it, Fran was kinda looking at me funny. And I MUST have accidently cut. ahhh...so embarrassing. I just assumed that everyone who was standing back there was like some sort of VIP / the band's friends. And I thought they were just lounging around. I had no clue ppl were LINING UP to see him. ....I apologize to anyone if i accidently cut him/her.... ><
