A Horse with No Name by America is one of my all time favs too. It has a very real and yet spooky sound to it that brings shivers to my soul ( not my spine!) . In fact the whole album is great 'The definitive America'. |

Ahhhhh this is sweet. It's interesting to find out where an artist gets their inspiration.
I loved the carpenters when i was young. Karen Carpenter was my favorite female musician in the 70s, cause she had the best voice and she was a drummer.
I'm surprised Fran's 70s/60s influences...he's way younger than i am, yet i liked most of what he listed. He must have a very cool mom. I know my parents had a lot to do with my being so into music. My dad was a musician and music was always played in our house, on trips, they took us to concerts. Good memories.
Thanks for posting this. |
