I'm sure this has been discussed on here before in the past, but I thought I'd resurrect the idea now that a new album and tour are on the go.

So... what would be your ultimate Travis setlist? You're in charge. You can tell Fran, Andy, Dougie and Neil to play whatever you like, for one night only, and you're only allowed 20 songs (17 in the set and 3 encore) from any album, single or cover that Travis have done in the past 20 years.

Mine would be:

1. All I Want To Do Is Rock
2. Selfish Jean
3. U16 Girls
4. Radio Song
5. Battleships
6. How Many Hearts
7. Moving
8. More Than Us
9. Life & Soul of the Party
10. Warning Sign
11. J. Smith
12. The Humpty Dumpty Love Song
13. Boxes
14. A Different Room
15. Village Man
16. Animals
17. Why Does It Always Rain On Me?

18. Turn
19. Coming Around
20. Happy

I can't even imagine how unbelievable it would be to hear all those songs at once!

More Than Us
The Urge For Going
All The Places
Indefinately
The Sea
Quite Free

Blimey that was harder than I thought....so many more could have made the list!

Picking 20 out of ca 180 songs is not an easy task... but this is my attempt:

1. 3 Times and you lose
2. Everything at once
3. The Fear (rock version)
4. Side
5. Selfish Jean
6. Village man
7. Something Anything
8. Writing to reach you
9. Green behind the ears
10. I love you anyways
11. She's so strange
12. Turn
13. Animals
14. A different room
15. Sing
16. Good Feeling
17. Happy

18. Mother
19. Closer
20. WDIAROM

EDIT: Really wanted to squeeze in these somewhere;
Under the moonlight, Say Hello, Coming around, Moving, Somewhere else, J.Smith and pretty much the rest of Good Feeling haha.

Right back at you pal! It would be cool if they did like a B-side tour haha..

I've spoken to Fran about this. They'd love to do that too. But apparently Independiente own the rights to all the B-sides recorded on that label (so all before Ode to J Smith). I was told if they wanted to release a B-Sides compilation, they'd either have to buy back the rights to the songs from the label or re-record them all, since they're not signed to Independiente any more, and they're not keen to do either option. It's a shame.

Just out of interest, what would your setlist be like if it was a B-Sides tour?

I wonder if they'd still play the big hits if it was a B-sides tour. Can't imagine them not playing WDIAROM or Turn or any of them!

Yeah they'd definitely have to "warn" people that it wasn't to be any of the album hits, otherwise a lot of people would probably feel very let down.

My b-side setlist would consist of these, probably;

1. Green behind the ears
2. Blue on a black weekend
3. The distance
4. Ferris wheel
5. The weight
6. You bring me down
7. Combing my hair
8. The ballad of J.Smith
9. Unbelievers
10. I forget my name
11. 1922
12. When I'm feeling blue
13. Ring out the bell
14. Used to belong
15. Hazy Shades of Gold
16. Sarah
17. High as a kite

18. Village man
19. Parallel Lines
20. Say hello

That wasn't too easy hah! What's yours??

6. The Connection
7. I Forget My Name
8. You Don't Know What I'm Like
9. When I'm Feeling Blue
10. Hazy Shades Of Gold
11. Know Nothing
12. Central Station
13. Definition Of Wrong
14. Everyday Faces
15. City In The Rain
16. Green Behind The Ears
17. I Don't Mean To Get High

18. "20"
19. All The Young Dudes
20. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah

I found that easier than the original setlist!

Were you at the Leicester gig last night?
Been thinking for the past week that I have to ask someone from the band where "Unbelievers" comes from as I remember reading somewhere that it wasn't written by Travis. And so they explain it all during the shows and goes on to play the song! Amazing!

Interesting! I didn't know that. I looked in the Travis Chord Songbook and you're right - it isn't written by them. Cool!

And no, I wasn't at Leicester last night... Why?

Last night was, when I wrote it, their show in Leicester and where Fran explained it all.
