1. Travel someplace new (right now it looks like the Azores)
2. See Ewan McGregor on Broadway (with Annie pants)
3. Run more, and do the Colour Run again
4. Make yoga a more regular part of my life again. I've been slacking since the spring
5. Shop local
6. Read more
7. Purchases: quality over quantity

- Get my own apartment.
- Put together all those drafts and finish a novel.
- Change careers (I know I'm aiming high with this one, I might need more than a year to achieve it).
- Eat a balanced diet, watch salt & sugar, reduce meat, drop milk.
- Attend to a Travis gig again! Hopefully in Mexico City this time!
- Be happy.

Completely unrelated, but I made a donation to UNICEF in someone's name for Christmas, and I got a (pre-recorded) thank you phone call today from the CEO/President/whatever of UNICEF. Good donor relations practice!
Also, 'normal human dancing' HA! |

My goals:
1. Have upstairs bathroom remodeled. (We have a plumbing issue, so it's not just a cosmetic thing, we really HAVE to have it done.)
2. Continue to declutter.
3. See friends more often.
4. Travel somewhere out west.

1. find new job. not sth I want to do, rather sth I have to do thanks to my fixed/short term contract.
2. exercise. this time for real. bought the "30 day shred dvd" (it was only 6,99). starting today. told no one about it, though (until now). also, I found a ZUMBA course close to my new apartment. starting in February.
3. learn another language, preferably Farsi or Turkish.
4. Volunteer.
5. food-wise: buy less ready-made stuff. cook more. buy local (esp. meat). don't eat chips/crisps.
6. visit at least one country I haven't been to before.
7. finish a course on coursera.org

I love Coursera so so much!
1. Travel someplace new (I've already started coming up with ideas on this one!).
2. Find a new job (both because I probably need to *high five, Lily!* and because I really want to).
3. Try yoga.
4. Run regularl-ish. Do that 5k.
5. Read more.
6. Pick up French again because COME ON, Gosia!
7. Less celebrity gossip, more news.
8. Less complaining, more positive thinking.
9. Be kinder.
10. Be a better friend. |

2: man, why can't we ever high-five on something awesome? ok. in 2014, at some point, we will high-five on finding the resp. jobs that we have always dreamed of. deal?
7: I should add "subscribe to a news magazine or newspaper and actually *read* them" to my list and write it on my wall (the real one, not facebook) or something.

And how did I NOT know about Coursera until only last week? A friend told me about it - how could I miss such a great thing?? I've *watched* courses on Academic Earth, but Coursera looks even better! Did you finish any courses? |

I'm not sure how realistic these are, but as of now, I'd like to work on the following:
1. Lose the pregnancy pounds I put on. I guess that would be after having the baby :)
2. De-clutter. With 2 kids and 2 dogs, we've got limited space in our house now.
3. Find a better job.
4. Take more walks or just spend more time outside. We watch too much tv!
5. Try to see friends more. This may be tough with two little ones, but we should at least make more effort. |

Okay, here are mine:
1. Work on my flexibility
2. Run a full marathon
3. Become more organized
4. Get my creative outlet ideas off the ground that I've been sitting on.
6. Be kinder
7. Be better about keeping in contact with friends
8. Paint my upstairs
9. Run 600 miles next year
10. Finish my portfolio website
11. Cross off more National Parks on my list to visit
12. Enjoy the moments more.
I'm sure there are more but this is all I can think of right now. |

I'm sure that most of them are perfectly achievable, the hardest part will be achieving them all.
1. Keep losing weight.
2. Start yoga and Zumba again.
3. Smile more often, don't wait for live music to feel completely happy about life.
4. Be a better friend.
5. Move to Glasgow.
6. Finish at least one of the million projects I have in mind.
7. See my best friends more.
8. Find a better job.
9. Stop being depressed. |

Deal!
I finished and got certificates for Strategic Innovation in Organizations (Vanderbilt Uni.) and International Organizations Management (Uni.of Geneva). Both courses were really good. I also watched all of History of Rock (it is amazing! When it's available again, you must sign up! Fantastic lecturer - I think his course on The Beatles will start soon) and Terrorism & Counterterrorism (um well, super dreamy Dutch professor. but also very interesting!). Sometimes I watched random lectures here and there without finishing the course.
PS Also try EdX.org :) |

I Came in Through the Bathroom Window Posted Sat 28 Dec, 2013 9:47 PM |
1. Move out on my own.
2. Learn to drive a car.
3. Lose weight.
4. Finish my Master's degree? Won't mind if I don't, but it would be nice to get it out of my life and not have people asking me when am I going to finish it.
5. Pick up French again (yeah, me too, haha. I love learning new languages, and now that I've fulfilled my Italian skills, my poor old dusty French is definitely next).
6. Learn to play piano.
Many of these depend on me having enough money to do them (#5, #6 and particularly #1... but #1 is a MUST).
