we watched that movie "The Fountain" over the weekend. the main character ate from the bark of the tree of life and lived forever.
would you want to do that - STAY AT THE AGE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW and then outlive all those that you love and go on and on..and on?
Queen had a song called "Who Wants To Live Forever?" on the "Highlander" movie soundtrack. Kind of ironic now given that Fred's dead :/ |

*playing devil's advocate* but think of all the things you'd be around to see, the innovations, the way the world will change and all that. you could start a whole new period of your life with someone every 40 years or so, that's not appealing to you? |

I'm afraid of dying. Seriously scared. But I wouldn't want to live forever. I want to live for a veeeery long time, and then enjoy the rest of what's ahead in the after life. :-)

I've been afraid of it since I was a kid. I'm not sure why tho.. Maybe because I do not know what will happen? Maybe because I don't want to accept that that's it?
