Belief in your self to have the strength to overcome things.
I guess my question is only aimed at people who look to god and see god as someone to lean on in adverse situations. |

I get you know. yeah there is definitely a collection of people on this ball we all share that need crutches, religion definitely fits the bill for those folks in a lot of places.
i just like to think that even though we've been blessed/cursed with this freewill thing that one day it'll all turn around for the better, if not here then somewhere else. |

that nations around the world get sick and tired of the constant fighting - which for the most part is based on religious beliefs. the world has the capacity to change, humans are very intelligent. we just tend to not see the forest for the trees. and then tear the forest down. |
