I'll never forgive them for not releasing Battleships as a single. I had a little video made in my head for it LOL. |

Got the new one, but in preparation was listening to a lot of the back catalogue for the first time in a while, it made me remember just how good TBWNN was - I remember the way all the songs were released on MySpace fortnightly, starting with Big Chair and the way I used to rip each song lovingly then listen to them while walking the dog! It made me appreciate every single song. Selfish Jean and Battleships were my faves I think, but listening now I appreciate what a great album that was as a whole.
It was disappointing to me that I just never got the same feeling from Ode and my Travis love waned a bit. The 'classic' Travis songs like Last Words, Quite Free were a bit 'meh' for me and the rest just didn't really sound the same, it was good but it wasn't the band I loved, somehow. The one exception being Before You We're Young which is amazing.
The feelings back with his one though, big time |

Yes! It is great, the chorus is freaking awesome both for the lyrics and the music, this is a great song. From Ode, I just like this and Ode to J. Smith.
As for the forum subject: The Boy With No Name. Boy, I'm so fond of this album! Even more than The Man Who. |
