Before I start I'd like to say I enjoy each album for thier own individual merits.
Having said that I do like a good wee nosey into what others think of each album. Tee hee. :) I'm basing this totally on personal opinion, not sales etc...
So, with album 7 to follow next year my ranked albums would be:
1. The Man Who
2. Good Feeling
3. 12 Memories
4. J Smith
5. The Invisible Band
6. The Boy With No Name

It really depends on my mood.
The Man Who epitomises what Travis do best (in my own, humble opinion). Tender, sincere, enigmatic, melancholic - a truly great piece of art - and one I never tire of listening to.
When I'm 'up fer it' then Good Feeling, Ode to J Smith are a suitable soundtrack. Turn it up to 11 stuff. |

Thats a succinct summing up for sure. Its interesting looking back through what was captured at each time - Personally, '12 Memories' has some real highlights as well. A '7' will float all boats!!!

The Boy With No Name
12 Memories
The Man Who
The Invisible Band
Good Feeling
J Smith
...though putting J Smith at the bottom seems weird. I love all of them. TBWNN holds a special place though |

My official list goes like this:
1. The Invisible Band
2. The Man Who
3. The Boy With No Name
4. Good Feeling
5. 12 Memories
6. Ode to J Smith
I sometimes struggle with 1 and 2 because overall, my two favorite songs of all time are As You Are and Writing to Reach You. But as a whole album, there's just something so divine about The Invisible Band.

really hope they improve their music in 7th album, they are unique and amazing,Travis is my most beloved band... but beside that, I hope they don't captured by today's music wave and sill stay unique... I really want them to be what really Travis is... the band who created a music like The Man Who...
