My choir's board met last night to pick the theme for next year's show. We chose "Road Trip." It'll be songs that feature American places in the band name, song title, lyrics, song or show title.
So, any song by the band Boston or a song from the musical Chicago. Simon and Garfunkel's "59th Street Bridge" would work, as well as "Heart of Rock and Roll" since it lists a ton of cities.
Just curious what songs would you throw into the American Road Trip mix. |

I've been Everywhere- Johnny Cash (although it lists International places too)
Can you open with Life is a Highway? It's Canadian :)
Nothing else I can think of it appropriate for the show |

The Johnny Cash song could work. We will not open with Life is a Highway because I think that song is crap.
You'd be pleased to know that we did discuss doing a Canadian themed show. But I didn't want to risk opening up the Nickelback can of worms. |

LIFE IS A HIGHWAY IS NOT CRAP! Except that country version. It sucks balls.
I would fly to Texas to see your Canadian themed show. Make. it. happen. I COULD BE YOUR CANADIAN COACH!
Walking in Memphis
California Girls
Empire State of Mind
Route 66
New Amsterdam :)
THere are lots of Ryan Adams options. None of which are appropriate. |
