Does anybody know the story behind that Fran's calling for Dougie to come back in "Hazy Shades of Gold"? |

"The song was recorded live in studio, and according to Dougie,
each of the members occupied one corner of the room, with Fran being across from drummer Neil so
that by watching him he could get the timing right. Apparently this particular time, Dougie wandered
into the space between Fran and Neil, forcing Fran to command him out of the way. Although it might
seem to have been an accident, Fran repeated the same words when performing the song live, and
therefore we don't know what words were supposed to be there in the first place." |

I'd be surprised if Fran recorded his vocals live in the room with the band. It might have been a happy accident which they left in. |

The original lyrics were:
"If you knew false from true, you'd still be up your tree."

The rapidshare link mentioned therein is loooong gone but I'm sure the live version containing the actual lyrics is floating around somewhere. |
