| ... and this might seem ridiculous since I'm a very long time Travis fan, been to a couple of concerts BUT I still don't know why Travis is called Travis? I'm sure you all know it, I've looked up on the internet, wikipedia mostly but couldn't find anything. Thank you ! |

I believe they got the name from a man named Travis in a western show on tv.

And by looking on wikipedia, you can see on the 3rd line:
They named themselves after the Harry Dean Stanton character Travis Henderson from the film Paris, Texas.
