On this Day the most poor excuse for Bank Holiday ever, let's face it, it's just a piss up.

Who typically gets the day off for a bank holiday? Just government type workers, or most everybody? |

Here, people just wear glaring combinations of green and drink themselves in to a stupor. No day off.
We have federal holidays and national holidays. On a federal holiday there would be no mail and most government offices would be closed, but kids still have to go to school and everyone else still has to work. Like George Washington's Birthday (or President's Day now), there's no mail and the stock market is even closed, but normal people still have to work and go to school.
National holidays, kids are out of school, most everyone has the day off, most stores are closed. |
