I dunno, it's probably just a coincidence but I listened to this song and thought 'that's quite nice' but it bugged me slightly that it sounded very familiar. It took me a while to work out what it sounded like.
Obviously the songs are quite different in terms of style, but you take that away and some of the melodies sound almost identical to me, and not just the first line, pretty much throughout the whole thing.
Ofcourse, it might just be me hearing strange things but I thought it was worth a post knowing that the Gallaghers have been vocal supporters of Travis in the past. Maybe there's at least a little bit of inspiration being taken here?

yeah, I fear I might have over-egged this a bit.
I was so adamant yesterday! I listened to them back to back and thought YES!! So similar. Then I do the same today and I'm like 'what the hell was I hearing?'
Think it is just the first line 'where are you going tonight/thought that I had died today' |
