Right, here we go, list 5 things that you want to accomplish by the end of 2011. If you manage...
1 = Pass
2 = B
3 = A
4 = Distinction
5 = Professor of Achievement (and all boardies shall worship you and despair)
We can dig up this thread at the end of the year and see how everyone has managed.
I'll start it off.
1. Lessen my alcohol intake
2. Get Fitter
3. Pass my Microsoft Office Expert (all 5 courses)
4. Gain employment and stay employed
5. Visit Scotland 3 times (I've been home half a dozen times in 10 years)

1. See a friend once a month.
2. Drink more water, less chocolate milk. (I'm as addicted to chocolate milk as anyone could be. I even make my own chocolate syrup.)
3. Write a book and send it to a publisher.
4. Stop comparing myself unfavorably to others and stop worrying about what they think of me.
5. The last one is kind of personal, but I'll remember it until we dig up the thread next year.
I'll be turning the big 4-0 this year...eeeeek! |

I will participate but I need to ask some questions while I still mull over what my targets.
Kayte, how on earth do you make your own chocolate syrup?
Lindsay, glad to hear getting married is one of your targets! Let us know when we can throw you a virtual shower. |

Mix 3/4 cup cocoa with 1 1/2 cups of sugar
Add 3/4 cup hot water
(You can add vanilla and a pinch of salt if you want to get fancy, but I skip it.)
Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool a bit and pour into a squeezy bottle or glass jar if you're a purist.
Voila! It's chocolate milk time! |

You only use it a tablespoon or so at a time. You're not eating 1 1/2 cups of sugar at one sitting. But I bet I could eat 1 1/2 cups of sugar at one sitting.
What is Irn Bru? |

Ahhh, so it's like concentrate ? you add hot milk to a spoonful in a mug or something ??

Irn Bru is a soft drink basically made from sugar, it is the scourge of dentists within Scotland, some claim it can cure hangovers. It used to be advertised as "Irn Bru - made from girders". the only thing I can think of that it tastes like would be Tizer but you probably don't get that stateside either.

Yeah, it's like making homemade Hershey's syrup. You add it to hot or cold milk, use as an ice cream topping, that kind of thing.
P.S. I have never had a cavity.

Tried Hershey's once or twice, not a huge fan, to me it tastes "powder-like", I imagine Cadbury's would probably taste funny to you guys, too sweet or too milky perhaps.
