I was listening to Selfish Jean. Again. And the line 'You keep the chocolate biscuits wired to a car alarm' makes me laugh out loud - Got to be one of my faves. I also love 'you got the glue, so I'm gonna give my heart to you' from Humpty Dumpty Love Song for very different reasons. How about the rest of you boardies? Any particular Travis lyric strike a chord with you?

"Time exists, but just on your wrist, so don't panic, moments last and lifetimes are lost in a day, so wind your watches down please, 'cos there is no time to lose"
=)
P.S That's a fucking mint username by the way. Approve. |

" You got the glue, So i'm gonna give my heart to you" - The Humpty Dumpty Love song
" It could have been me instead of you, it could have been me if I wanted to, but It wasn't, so we'll have to face the truth" - Big Chair
"Blow me a kiss, I'll be happy the rest of my life" - Happy
"Singing this song, Singing along, Makes it easier for me to see you go, But in doing so, In letting you go, It only serves to show me that I'm still in love with you" - Luv
"And everybody wants a hand, But I'm too busy holding up the world " - More than us
And so much more!!! :)

"'Cause life is both a major and a minor key; just open up the chord"
Always thought it was such a nice analogy, LOL.

Seconded. I was about to write that. Beautiful lyrics from Indefinitely. I also like "life is both a major and a minor key, just open up the chord" from Side. This part was particularly referenced by an essay writer in my country. The Invisible Band has the best lyrics IMO. |

&
Pretty much all the lyrics to My Eyes... it's so sweet
"pretty soon you will see tears in my eyes"
ReOffenders: "watching me fall apart, falling under your spell"

Emmahealy seconded for live by the river, die by the river. Also one no ones mentioned that I really like is from Walking Down The Hill "The moon swept by the clouds and saved the starlight" Not really sure why it just kinda stood out. Theres probably loads of others but I can't think right now. |

'breaking clouds don't make a sound' big chair
'writing to reach you' driftwood
there are a million others that i can write here but it would take a long time, i reckon i've got a favourite lyric from almost every travis song :) |

It's def not a print error, although i'm not sure what the story is!
All the lines mentioned are amazing! I'm sure I have millions of faves.
Indefinitely has beautiful lyrics, and the line already mentioned from Luv makes my heart do a little flip flop! |
