They went there to attend the anniversary of the Katyn massacre, when during WWII Polish intellectual and military elite was being murdered by Soviets. Ironically, there were almost 90 most important politicians, military and academics in that plane... |

Thanks guys. I think I haven't been in such a deep shock since 9/11. I honestly thought the site was hacked when I first saw the news. I would really like to be in Poland right now. I talked to my mom twice today but that's not the same.
This is truly tragic on so many levels. It's like half of our political elite is gone. Also one member of the parliament who was in the plane was from my hometown. |
