Must you look at them as potential partners? You might lose the chance of getting to know an interesting person if you're looking at them through those glasses.

I certainly can't speak for Abs, but I think it depends on one's age. In your 20's, dating for the sake of dating is fine, but at a certain point, many people are ready to find "the one" and be done with it.

You're never too old to meat new friends either, in my opinion. I'm pretty young, but of course there are days when I wonder if I'll ever meat somebody to share my life with, but the more you're searching the harder it gets, that's my experience.

I like having male friends - i grew up with 3 brothers so being surrounded by guys is "normal" for me.

Are you looking for someone to settle down with ?
